The Annual Beautification Awards program is designed to recognize and honor all who have made a substantial contribution through clean up and beautification activities and projects in Genesee County. Award categories are reviewed, revised and/or updated every year.
Each year there are thousands of people who clean up trash and litter, paint over graffiti and plant beautiful flowers and vegetable gardens. We receive nominations for outstanding improvements in local neighborhoods and on city and county streets where someone has made a substantial difference.
Nomination forms are mailed out in early September and the deadline for submission is mid October. Awards are presented at the annual Community Beautification Conference held in March the following year.
